The Nukeproof Dissent Carbon is a downhill bike built to conquer the roughest terrain, steepest gradients, and biggest jumps.
With 200mm of travel front and rear, this bike is ready for anything from local woods to Morzine or Whistler, built to get you down fast, smooth, and in one piece. The Dissent has been proven on the toughest terrain in the world, having been used at RedBull Rampage and stood on the podium at RedBull Hardline and World Cup Downhills.
The Triple Clamp DH fork and rear shock deliver buttery-smooth suspension feel, while simple DH gearing and powerful brakes keep things reliable when the trail gets wild. Whether you are shredding laps with your mates, slapping on a race plate, or sending the biggest gaps, the Dissent Carbon has your back.
Advanced Carbon Frame Construction
The Dissent 290c is the next evolution of Nukeproof’s proven downhill platform, reengineered in carbon. Using a blend of T700 and T800 high modulus carbon fibre, the chassis benefits from more complex shaping and precise tuning of stiffness, compliance, and strength in each zone. This design freedom allowed engineers to refine ride characteristics for clearer feedback and control while maintaining durability. The carbon frame achieves a reduction of 430g compared to the previous aluminium version, resulting in a lighter, stiffer, and more responsive bike. The layup process also enabled rapid prototyping and iteration, so every millimetre of geometry and linkage integration is optimised for maximum performance on the track.
Suspension Kinematics
At the core of the Dissent 290c is an evolution of Nukeproof’s World Cup winning Fallout Linkage, refined to balance sensitivity, support, and control. The latest carbon platform enabled further optimisation of the kinematics for improved small bump compliance and greater stability through the mid-stroke. A high initial leverage rate gives a supple ground-hugging response at the start of travel, while a progressive mid-stroke provides predictable support and carries speed through rough sections and big impacts. Near the end of travel, a carefully tuned regressive phase limits harsh bottom outs and helps riders use the full 200mm efficiently. This refined curve increases traction and comfort and makes the shock easier to tune, allowing higher spring rates or the latest air shocks without losing suppleness. The result is a bike that feels planted, composed, and adaptable across a wide range of tracks and terrain.
Designed for World Cup Performance and Privateer Practicality
The Dissent Carbon is engineered for performance and real-world practicality. Every detail is specified to make ownership, servicing, and racing straightforward season after season. Tube-in-tube cable routing simplifies setup and maintenance. Generous tyre clearance, a threaded bottom bracket, and MAX bearings provide long-term reliability in harsh conditions. Integrated bump stops protect the frame and fork crowns from impact, while 3D contoured rubber protection keeps the bike quiet and prevents damage from chain slap or rock strikes. All fasteners are chosen for practicality with easy access, sensible Allen key sizes, and laser-etched torque markings to make service work clear and repeatable.
Frame Adaptability
Engineered to adapt to any track, terrain, or riding style, the Dissent 290c Carbon is one of Nukeproof’s most versatile downhill frames. Built around the proven Fallout Linkage, it offers extensive adjustment so riders can fine-tune every aspect of setup.
